Each year, the French University Sports Federation invites twenty university national teams to participate in Master’U BNP Paribas. Since 2011 , the event is accredited by the International University Sports Federation (FISU ), which also supports the dissemination of information and recruiting teams.
The list of registered teams is limited to 8. All nominations are reviewed by the Steering Committee of the tournament that determines the nations selected based on various criteria: Level of play, ranking of the previous editions and Universality ( presence of several continents).
